Dear supporters,                       On behalf of myself and the youth at New Generation Church , we would like to extend an invitation for you to become an active supporter of the progression of our youth ministry.  Our primary goal and focus is to enlighten the minds and lives of our youth while encouraging them to foster a positive productive lifestyle.  We encounter many teen-agers and young adults who are alienated and detached from positive role models and valuable guidance.  Many of our kids are seeking some form of structure and guidance in a language and form that is relatable to the youth culture. New Generation provides a place where they can come as they are without experiencing shame or rejection. In lieu of exclusionary criticism, we provide them with love, acceptance and concern for their overall well being and development.  We seek to embed the importance of their lives in them in order to develop and strengthen their self-esteem and self worth.  The leaders at New Generation strive to provoke our youth into making positive choices by acknowledging the realities that many of them face on a daily basis.  This includes but is not limited to teen pregnancy, drug-use, gang violence, and peer pressure.  By providing them with positive influences and mentors who teach them to think for themselves, they possess a greater chance of leading a successful lifestyle when they leave our walls.  One of the keys to our success has been creating opportunities for our youth to participate in reaching out to their communities.  We travel to local low-income neighborhoods and provide basic needs such as food, clothing, hygienic items, and common household necessities.  In order to create awareness of our services, we compel people to inquire about our purpose by allowing our kids to showcase their gifts and talents.  This includes dancing, singing, rapping, poetry, and public speaking.  By providing an avenue for them to express themselves freely and positively, they acquire a strong sense of ownership for the environments in which they operate.  This increases the level of respect that they carry for their communities because it elevates the level of respect they carry for themselves.  Unfortunately, many of the young people that attend our services have very little to donate themselves.  Many of them are in need of the very products which we donate to the low income neighborhoods which we visit.  In order for our organization to operate effectively, we need your sponsorships and donations to cover our rent and utility fees and in order to obtain the necessary goods needed to donate throughout the community.  Any lump sum or monthly contribution that you can make will be greatly appreciated. As a non-profit organization, we solely depend on sponsorship and donations in order to achieve our goals. All contributions are recognized as charitable giving and are tax deductible. Whether your gift comes in the form of material goods or monetary giving, it can be used when filing tax information for the coming tax season.
